Reasons to Love Coconut Oil

I’m starting a new category on my blog about health! It’s about time since I’m always talking about it. I have always taken pride in my health and wellness and after realizing how much I’m always reading about it and educating myself, I figured I’d spread the word!

My first topic to share. Coconut Oil. I’m sure some of you are already shying away from this because the word ‘oil’ sparks immediate negative thoughts of fat, cholesterol, weight gain etc…. but rest assured. Those thoughts couldn’t be more opposite from the truth. Lately, coconut oil is becoming the new olive oil. It gained most of its popularity when proven to be a much healthier oil to cook with as it has a much higher cooking temperature. I have been using coconut oil for years after originally buying is as a natural moisturizer for sensitive skin, but after doing my homework and browsing article after article I’m using it for much more. I am by no means a doctor and many of these uses come from other articles and research so I can’t say I’ve personally tried them all, but I have tried many and have no complaints. There is a reason this is becoming such a well known super food!
