DIY Mustache Necklace

Although Movember has been around for over ten years, it seems as though this trend has really taken off just since last November. And why should moustaches only get the spotlight for one month of the year anyways?! So since my hubby is growing his stache again this year to fundraise through work, I wanted to show him my support. Aside from trying to shave my face, or lounging around in a face mask of Rogaine, I decided to take another approach.

I ventured into my craft room and while digging through all my supplies it dawned on me…. a moustache necklace. I had seen several similar necklaces at local stores but they were either outrageously expensive or too big for my liking so I created my own. I wanted to make my necklace so I could wear it for the month of November in support. Yes you heard me right. I am now fully committed to wearing the same piece of jewelry for the entire month of November. As dreadfully boring as that sounds fashion-wise, it can’t be half as bad as sporting a furry lip all month. So this is my neck’s new best friend.

But aside from my own way to support Movember, there are hundreds of cool new ways to incorporate the trash stash, crumb catcher, nose bug, tea strainer mustache into your everyday life. These brave mustaches have made their way off of men’s faces and onto many decor ideas, novelty gifts and crafts. So I thought I’d share my mustache portfolio with you. (OF COURSE Burt Reynolds get’s the number one spot. No one can make a mustache look this good)

Happy Movember Everyone! I’d love to stay and chat but I really moustache….
