2-in-1 Scarf

Hey everyone! I got a bunch of requests last night for a tutorial on how I turned my scarf into a vest. A scarfest if I may. Luckily I remembered to take pictures so here it is. Some thought I sewed it but all it takes is tying a knot!! Trust me….i’m as relieved as you are because I have a love/hate relationship with my sewing machine right now.

The size of your scarf will determine the size of your vest. As long as your scarf is rectangular it will work. A wider scarf will give you a long vest that you could wear with a longer shirt and tights.  A smaller scarf will give you a cute cropped vest you could pair with jeans and your favourite tee.  Cinch in the waste with a simple belt if you want a more fitted look and you’re set! Oh the possibilities!

Use a long rectangular scarf. If your scarf has tassles on the ends it will be the cute fringe on the front of your vest.Fold the scarf in half hamburger style.Tie the two ends that you have in your hands together in a little knot.

I can’t explain this other than open up your scarf until you find the two arm holes!

Slip it on and away you go! I personally like the little knot at the top but you could always wear your hair down to hide it or pin it instead.

Thanks everyone for your feedback. If you ever have any questions about something i’m doing feel free to send me a message! Have a great day!
