Coffee Cupcakes

It was my sister’s bridal shower the other week and as her maid of honor I was excited to help plan a themed shower. Her and her fiance spent many dates at local coffee shops and he popped the question at the same coffee shop/art gallery just outside of town where they had their first date. So…. it only seemed fitting to coordinate her bridal shower as a coffee shop theme. We hosted it in the front lobby of the church, where the coffee bar was the perfect focal point. We served cappacinios, latte’s and mocha’s in a great atmosphere of jazz music and delicious appies. I was in charge of two main things. Firstly, I know it’s surprising but I was in charge of making ….. cupcakes!! Secondly, I was in charge of creating some decor (DIY to come). For the cupcakes I decided to make a chocolate fudge cupcake with coffee cream frosting and chocolate covered espresso beans. There’s nothing a little chocolate and coffee can’t fix!
